The charitable organization Angel Flights of New England Inc is experiencing some turbulence. The Boston Globe’s Beth Healy is reporting on an internal power struggle between the founder and the board that puts the flights in jeopardy as major donors threaten to withhold their contributions.
After the situation escalated, the board was fired by founder Lawrence Camerlin this past January. So far, Angel Flights continues to book an average of 100 flights a week.
