Rules for Private Jets Traveling to Olympics

by Matt on January 29, 2010

AVWeb’s Russ Niles has the details on the rules for private jets traveling to the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. These rules require the private jets to go through special security screenings at “gateway” airports before flying nonstop to Vancouver, where customs will be checked before anyone exits the aircraft. In addition, slot and ramp reservations must be in place before taking off from the gateway airport. The gateway airports include near by locations in Idaho, Nevada, Washington State, British Columbia, Alberta, as well as airports farther away in the U.S.
