Gulfstream recently completed initial test flights for the G650, a large cabin and long range business jet. The aircraft was put through its paces with testing of handling, engines, avionics, hydraulics, electrical, flight and cabin controls, and flap operation. Five airplanes are involved in the test program, which is aiming for certification from both the Federal Aviation Administration and the European Aviation Safety Agency in 2011.
