AVWeb’s Mary Grady [free registration required] is reporting that Aerion’s orders for the supersonic jet are holding steady at $4 billion. Aerion is currently expecting to do a proof-of-concept with an OEM soon, which could last up to a year.
According to the company, a successful proof-of-concept would be followed by a five-year development program, putting the certification date at 2015, a year later than previously stated.
